All Long-Term Care Facilities are required by CMS to provide "culturally-competent, trauma-informed care, in accordance with professional standards of practice". In addition, trauma-informed care is essential for many of the other populations with whom we work. 

Bright Ideas Continuing Education's high-quality, engaging trainings on The Impact of Trauma Throughout the Lifespan and Understanding Trauma-Informed Care can help you and your staff recognize the role that trauma plays in the lives of those you serve and how to best meet the unique needs of the individuals entrusted in your care. 

Trainings are given by Bracha Poliakoff, LCSW-C, an engaging and informative speaker with experience providing psychotherapy to children, adults, and older adults with a history of trauma and/or post-traumatic stress disorder in both long-term care settings and the community.

CE credit is currently available for social workers in all 50 states. All other professionals (including psychologists, counselors, and marriage and family therapists) must confirm CE approval with their state board. Programs may also be individually approved for certified case managers through the Commission for Case Management.
